CHRISTMAS SKETCHES (all scripts available in 50 Seasonal Sketches)
BAD HAIR DAY - a model of the Virgin Mary from the crib gets mixed up with the Christmas tree decorations on a
day when the fairy can do nothing with her hair. Aims to show how the real meaning of Christmas is often hidden behind the gaudy nature of other things we think of as 'Christmassy'.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
- Friends throw a surprise party for birthday boy Jesus - then leave Him out as they give each other presents instead. Aims to remind us that Christmas is when we should be celebrating the fact that God
gave us the ultimate present - and that there's only one way to repay Him.
SALTY TOWERS (Bethlehem branch) - Mary, Joseph, shepherds & wise men check in at what seems like a familiar Torquay
hotel. Performed all over Britain and as far afield as Vietnam and Hong Kong! No great spiritual point - simply a funny sketch to introduce a Christmas theme!
A VERY PC CHRISTMAS - a nativity play
scripted for the new millennium tries too hard to be politically correct. Aims to show that the real hope for the future came from a newborn baby rather than a woolly philosophy.
